Material flow concept for tube lasers

With the Remmert AGV, shuttle transports in production and storage areas can be carried out autonomously. Labor-intensive material movements with cranes or forklifts are reduced or completely replaced.
The Remmert AGV is one of the few automated guided vehicles on the market that combines a high payload with omnidirectional driving. This means that even heavy and bulky loads can be transported easily through existing and narrow routes.
Additional AGVs can be integrated into an overall system via the ANTdriven navigation and fleet management software network. This allows you to use specialized AGVs for different transport tasks and consistently automate your material flow.
The omnidirectional driving mode enables goods transfer stations to be approached in a transverse or longitudinal direction. This means that existing systems can be easily integrated into the material flow with AGVs. Navigation with LiDAR scanners means that no additional equipment is required and the routes can be flexibly adapted.

The Remmert AGV is ideal for transporting sheet metal in the standard 3015 format. It can transport both raw sheet metal packages on system pallets and finished part pallets. This makes it ideal for the extended, automated material flow around laser cutting systems. The AGV solution can be integrated into both new and existing concepts.
The virtual navigation and safety zone of the LiDAR scanners enables the transport of long goods up to a length of 8 meters and a weight of up to 3 tons in demarcated areas. The load pick-up can be individually adapted to the load carriers.
All kinds of heavy and bulky goods can be picked up by the Remmert AGV with appropriate racks or load transfer stations and transported to defined destinations. For example, the combination with tray racks with variable storage space height is a smart solution for buffering semi-finished products in confined production environments to save space.
The Remmert Platform AGV is ideal for the flexible expansion of the automation of laser cutting processes. The vehicle is designed to accommodate system pallets in 3015 format. This opens up significantly more options for the installation of laser cutting systems and automatic linking with peripheral machining processes.
The order management is displayed in Remmert SMART Control. This provides an integrated, intuitive dashboard for automation and WMS. It also provides an interface to higher-level IT systems.
Expand your AGV fleet with additional specialized vehicles for a wide range of tasks. All ANTdriven vehicles can be easily integrated into your fleet management system.
The Remmert AGV is designed as an under-drive platform. With two independent turntables, it moves omnidirectionally in the X and Y directions as well as in rotational movements around its own central axis. Navigation takes place via two LiDAR sensors with 360° spatial detection. Communication with the control system takes place via two WLAN antennas at the corners of the vehicle.
Four lead crystal batteries, each with 180 or alternatively 150 Ah, supply the vehicle with energy. Operation with lead crystal batteries eliminates the fire hazard of lithium-ion batteries. The vehicle can therefore also be used in areas where there is a risk of fire. Thanks to the high capacity of the batteries, the AGV can be operated over an operating time of 8-10 hours either in intermittent mode (opportunity charging) or with intermediate charging.
The vehicle is equipped with two LIDAR scanners that continuously and contactlessly detect people or other obstacles in the path of travel and stop the vehicle in the event of danger. The scanners are also used for ambient navigation.
Bluebotics' navigation technology uses LiDAR data and odometry/displacement measurement to localize the vehicle on the map and orient itself using permanent structures in the environment. The vehicle is controlled based on the X, Y and angle coordinates that it receives via the PLC. A one-time transmission of driving task data from the computer to the vehicle significantly reduces the network requirements (e.g. WLAN) compared to a continuous transmission of commands from the server to the AGV.
As soon as the vehicle comes to a standstill above the charging station, the current collectors in the vehicle are lowered automatically. The Remmert AGV vehicles can thus drive to the charging station independently and fully automatically during the operating time, e.g. whenever the workload situation allows it or the batteries need to be recharged. Alternatively, a wall charging station can also be set up.
The SMART Control intelligent control system is the control station of the Remmert AGV. Its intuitive dashboard allows the system to be operated. Order and fleet management as well as the planning and simulation functions of the navigation server are also controlled via the SMART Control AGV.
Two lifting beams are used to lift the load when driving under the loading equipment. Each lifting beam is driven by two spindle lifting gears. A rotary encoder determines the current lifting height. Inductive sensors evaluate how the AGV is loaded. The permanently lubricated worm gear screw jacks make the lifting gear maintenance-free.
The transfer station is used to set down/pick up system pallets in the underneath application. To do this, the AGV drives into the transfer station and lifts the system pallet with the lifting device.
With this equipment option, workpieces can be transported onto the AGV with or without loading tools, e.g. pallets, via a corresponding roller conveyor station.
This equipment option is required if the AGV is to pick up system pallets from a storage table. The pulling mechanism is compatible with Remmert system pallets with stainless steel rollers in 3015 format.
This equipment is necessary if the AGV is to be used to store long goods cassettes in a bridge storage system without a transfer station.
“AGVs are the next step in the metal industry for connecting individual machining centers. This technology has great potential, especially in times of labor shortages.”
