Mastel Aluminium-Halbzeuge GmbH is a specialized supplier of precision blanks made from aluminum plates, sheets, rods and profiles. The company's manufacturing and warehousing capabilities serve leading companies in the mechanical and tooling, automotive and aerospace industries.
With an extensive range of precision saws, aluminum plates up to 150 mm thick, round bars up to 450 mm thick, as well as round tubes, U and L profiles, square bars and edged tubes are cut to the highest quality according to customer orders. As early as 2009, Mastel opted for a Remmert sheet metal storage system for the highly automated and space-optimized storage of raw materials and semi-finished products. The raw material is made available to the manual processing stations via various incoming and outgoing goods stations. The storage system serves both as a central raw material warehouse and as a consignment or picking warehouse for customer-specific semi-finished products. The warehouse was initially designed as a single-line system and was expanded with an additional storage line in 2015.
In 2023, Mastel significantly expanded its capacity with an impressive, fully automated panel saw center. Here, two precision panel saws are supplied with raw material via another Remmert sheet metal storage system. A gantry robot solution places the raw panels fully automatically. Larger offcuts are automatically returned to the sheet storage system and fed to the saws again as required. Smaller remnants and finished semi-finished products can be stored fully automatically in a Leanlift. Two jointed-arm robots take care of the handling.
The large processing and storage capacities with a high degree of automation and short material flow paths enable Mastel to offer its customers the shortest just-in-time delivery times.
