Thermodyne is an experienced provider of transportation and packaging solutions. The company produces plastic transport boxes, trolleys and cases using the thermoforming process. The company uses an automated tower rack with stacker crane from Remmert to store both the thermoplastic sheets and the molding tools. This means that semi-finished products, tools and other goods can be stored close to production, saving space and personnel, and can be provided quickly. A MIDI storage system was slightly modified for this purpose, in which the incoming goods station scans the height of the load and assigns a suitable location in the storage system via the WMS.
