Stainless, Aluminium and Steel Works with Remmert Laser Automation
Alinco NV, a Belgian sheet metal specialist, expanded its production by moving to a new 10,000 m² facility. To boost production capacity and efficiency, it installed a 6020 LVD fiber laser as an extension to its existing 3015 fiber and CO₂ laser machines an. The setup includes a Remmert storage system with 3,200-ton capacity and LaserFLEX automation, enabling fast, traceable material handling. This upgrade reduced processing time from three shifts to one, improved delivery speed, and broadened material capabilities.
Two laser cutting machines for sheet metal formats from 3015 to 6020 are connected to the central sheet metal warehouse. The plant layout enables high flexibility and ensures short distances—both for employees and for the automation devices
New sheets are stored and cut sheets are retrieved from the storage system on demand via a single station. The sheet metal storage system is optimized for 3015 and 4020 sheets.
Less commonly used but still required: large-format sheet metal blanks up to 6 m in length. Nevertheless, machine utilization is high thanks to automation with 4020 sheets.
