NETZSCH Pumps & Systems is a global specialist in the development, manufacture and distribution of displacement pumps. In order to increase the storage and production capacities at the headquarters in Waldkraiburg, NETZSCH commissioned Remmert to plan and construct a fully automatic sawing center for rods and tubes. The “brownfield” solution with a very compact cassette storage system and state-of-the-art automatic sawing machines from BEHRINGER GmbH, which were integrated into an existing plant environment, led to a new level of efficiency and planning reliability.

More productivity with the fully automatic sawing cell
Pump specialist NETZSCH relies on a fully automatic saw cell from Remmert for the in-house production of saw cuts as a pre-product for their pumps. The system consists of a Remmert bridge storage system in combination with a PICK system and two automatic saws.
Remmert PICK system in combination with long goods storage
The PICK system is the pick & place interface between the automated storage system and the automatic saw. It picks the bars and tubes from the cassettes and places them on the saws.
Storage system with overhead storage and retrieval machine
A total of over 1600 tons of long goods can be stored in the bridge storage system in a very space-saving manner. The storage and retrieval machine travels over the rows of racks, so the aisles can be kept very narrow. Several goods issuing stations are integrated at floor level.
Behringer automatic saw and in the background the Remmert storage system with pick system
Two automatic saws from Behringer are connected to the storage system via the PICK system. The saws are controlled via the Remmert WMS. After the sawing process, the residual material is automatically returned to the storage system.
