The laser cutting center at Remmert in Löhne not only serves as a showcase for customer visits, but is also an important building block for the high vertical range of manufacture of Remmert solutions. A Mazak laser cutting system is operated via a LaserFLEX automation system. The connected BASIC Tower is used both to supply raw sheets and as a buffer store for cut sheets.
For automated sorting, a cut sheet is placed on the SortFLEX sorting table via the LaserFLEX. After the laser process, the sheet can either be removed directly from the shuttle table or from the buffer store. The sorting job is started by the operator of the laser cutting system via a dashboard. The SortFLEX software analyzes the cutting plan and identifies all parts that can be removed automatically. The storage locations on the pallet trolleys are created automatically. If necessary, the operator can still intervene manually. As soon as the order is started, the SortFLEX scans the position of the sheet metal and begins sorting. Parts that cannot be picked up due to their format are returned to the BASIC Tower and can be made available from there for manual sorting via the manual outfeed carriage.
