The long-goods storage system thus offers a total of 81 compartments for storage cassettes, each of which can hold up to 3 tons. A longitudinal carriage moves below the shelves, taking the cassettes from and delivering them to the three forklift trucks. The cassettes are loaded and unloaded via a manipulator on one long side. Astrup uses the storage system for small quantities or for picking customer orders. For large quantities, Astrup uses a honeycomb warehouse for long and flat goods from Remmert.

BASIC Tower in series for the steel trade
Astrup AS, one of Norway's largest distributors of metals and plastics, chose three BASIC Tower double towers to expand its storage capacity. These were installed in a row to form a uniform overall solution.

SMART Control Dashboard
The SMART Control Dashboard is the central operating unit on the BASIC Tower. In addition to the WMS functions, all controls are displayed visually in an easy-to-understand way. Error messages, for example, can be easily identified and rectified.
