Maximum efficiency in laser supply and fast material change-over times: How this is done will be demonstrated at the EuroBLECH for the first time this year. The successful machine tool manufacturer Mazak shows the LaserFLEX 4.0 laser made by Remmert with its laser machine during a production process. The handling aid is fitted with two automation units – one supplier and one remover. This way, the feeding process of the laser systems is decoupled. After cutting the sheet metal, the processed metal sheet is removed from the changing table of the OPTIPLEX 3015 FIBER II 6.0 kW laser and moved into the production process. At the same time, a vacuum unit of the LaserFLEX 4.0 moves new sheets into the machine. While connected to the Mazak Laser, the automation solution requires only 65 seconds to change over the material.
The LaserFLEX 4.0 laser is designed to meet the most diverse requirements for the handling of sheet metal in sizes 3015 and 4020. If required, standard interfaces to the PLC and IT systems allow the integration of multiple lasers simultaneously and independently of the manufacturer. A single robot application can also supply the material in parallel. Its flexible design also provides the link to the storage system.
