SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH has already used an automatic system from Remmert at their warehouse location in Wil (CH) for long goods stocking. The management of the approximately 970 storage spaces and the control of the four connected saws are done by the PRO WMS Enterprise. On the basis of the increased services requirements, the company decided to modernise their software. We implemented this quickly and simply over a long weekend. For this we brought in SPS control on the current state of technology. SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH can take advantage of an increased availability of service. Thanks to the interface optimisation, the LVS can also communicate better with the internal SAP and so it supports a quick and secure data synchronisation. Another advantage: In addition to the existing machinery, new extra machines are now being integrated flexibly and manufacturer-independently.
