From trainee to expert

Remmert offers specialised personnel ideal career development conditions. René Tiemann celebrates his 25th anniversary of working at the production site in Löhne, Germany. A quarter century of accumulated switch cabinet construction expertise: 1 August 1994 marked the start of René Tiemann’s professional career.

Back then the 16-year-old began his training as an electrical mechanic with the materials handling expert Remmert in Löhne. After successfully completing his apprenticeship, he was immediately given a permanent position, has never changed employers and is currently working in final assembly for switch cabinets. “It’s only upon looking back that I realise how much water has flowed under the Werre River bridge over the past 25 years,” explains Tiemann. “Something that has never changed in all this time, however, is the exemplary team spirit uniting me and my colleagues.”

The commitment of the approximately 140 employees working at company headquarters in Löhne proves day in and day out that they are the company’s most important capital - and Remmert recognises this commitment. Friedrich Remmert GmbH was awarded the TOP-JOB seal for its outstanding qualities as an employer in 2017, distinguishing the Löhn-based company as one of the best employers in the German SME sector. “Quality management is no mystery: the qualified apprenticeship programme and in-service training of our employees, as well as our working conditions, clearly demonstrate the importance of quality in the company,” explains Matthias Remmert, Managing Director of Remmert. “René Tiemann’s 25 years of dedicated work in switch cabinet construction is a tangible example of how this important value is practised in our company. We are delighted to have him as a colleague and wish him all the best for the future.”
