The SRM ensures safe and fully automatic storage and retrieval of materials. Time-consuming handling with a forklift truck or crane is now a thing of the past. Damage to the material due to inadequate storage or transport accidents is also eliminated.
Thanks to its modular design, the system can be configured as required. The number of racks and the type of storage and retrieval options are designed individually.
The Bridge Storage System allows large quantities of bars, tubes, profiles and other long goods to be stored in the smallest possible footprint. The key feature is the overhead storage and retrieval machine. This means that aisles can be kept very narrow and more storage space is available.
SMART Control combines the operation of the storage and retrieval stations and goods management in one intuitive tool. Operation is simple and can be learned quickly, even by non-specialist personnel.
With up to 30 combined storage and retrieval processes per hour and the goods-to-person principle, personnel costs for order picking are significantly reduced.
With its storage cassettes, the Bridge Storage System offers a unique way to ergonomically store a wide variety of long goods. Infinitely adjustable dividers create variable storage compartments within each cassette. With the WMS, all inventory can be centrally managed on site at terminals and via the ERP interface.

Each Remmert Bridge Storage System is unique. Based on the material to be stored and the available installation space, the storage system is individually adapted during engineering in order to achieve the highest possible storage density and perfect material flow.
Tunnels in the Bridge Storage System make it possible to integrate transitions to other buildings through the storage system, thus optimizing the use of space. Tunnel solutions are also advantageous as truck loading lanes or for space-saving placement of processing stations.
Bridge Storage Systems can be planned as independent buildings in silo design. The statics of the storage system are designed accordingly. This significantly reduces the amount of work required on site.
Instead of storage cassettes, long goods can also be stored freely on cantilever arms. In this case, the overhead storage and retrieval machine is equipped with telescopic forks to extract individual materials.
In this variant, the storage locations are fully or partially underground or in a basement. This solution can be a practical alternative for production and storage buildings on slopes or where there are height restrictions, for example.
This module extends the WMS with a HOST interface. The local WMS is integrated into an existing network and exchanges data with the higher-level ERP or MES system via this network. This allows stocks and material master data to be managed centrally. It is also possible to connect to MES for production orders with automated material flows.
In combination with the PICK system, a fully automatic material flow can be set up to one or more automatic sawing machines. This makes it possible to operate sawing cells with very high productivity and minimal manpower.
The storage and retrieval stations are individually designed according to the required material flow. The major advantage is free access to the material from all sides and, in the case of heavy goods, also from above for lifting equipment.
Instead of rigid conveyors for storage and retrieval, the Remmert AGV can pick up cassettes directly below the storage system. The flexible movement to other picking or production locations with the AGV gives you significantly more freedom in production and warehouse planning.
The racking system consists of powder-coated structural steel profiles in welded and bolted form. The overall height, storage space height and depth are adjusted according to the number and format of the cassettes. The cassettes are placed on two support arms. Stations or passages are designed individually.
The storage and retrieval machine (SRM) travels over the racking system like a bridge. The lowerable lifting beam is chained down to the storage compartment and removes the cassettes to the left or right via a telescopic mechanism.
The cassettes are manufactured individually based on the material dimensions. Each cassette can hold materials with a storage weight of up to 5 tons or a length of up to 12 meters.
With the longitudinal station, cassettes can be moved over the short sides of the warehouse using rail-mounted carriages outside the safety area. A safety installation with light barriers ensures safe operation.
With the cross station, cassettes can be moved over the sides of the bridge storage system using rail-mounted trolleys outside the safety area. A safety installation with light barriers ensures safe operation. The cross station is also possible within a tunnel solution.
Cassettes can be provided in quick rotation via two parallel roller conveyors. A pusher moves the cassette to be restocked to the rear roller conveyor, making room for the next cassette.
PRO WMS is a modern and effective warehouse management software. It is optimally tailored to the requirements of intralogistics and offers a broad, customer-oriented range of services across its various modules.
The machine interface coordinates the functional processes between the Remmert system and another machine. Information about interlocking signals and safety functions is exchanged for this purpose.
The entire system is individually equipped with protective and safety equipment. This includes safety fences and gates, light barriers and safety and emergency stop controls.
The robust control panel features a built-in industrial PC pre-installed with Remmert software. The touchscreen interface provides intuitive control, with the most essential operational elements conveniently displayed.
