Based on this partnership REMMERT developed, for instance, the LaserSORT sorting robot, which provides for the first time the really flexible and reliable sorting of laser-cut parts. With the development of the LaserSORT system for the automatic palletisation of laser-cut parts, REMMERT and ALMA commenced a successful partnership-based working relationship. For this purpose the universal software act/cut is used for programming cutting machines and punches/nibble machines.
act/cut is designed both for programming machines for cutting contours (laser cutting, water jet cutting, plasma cutting, flame cutting, contour milling), as well as for punches/nibble machines and for combined machines. act/cut controls machines from any manufacturer and during this process takes into account the maximum potential each technology has to offer in each section of the programming, from the preparation of the part, through nesting and optimisation of the tool paths, to NC-program generation.
act/cut is an open system that can import geometries from any CAD system and that can be straightforwardly linked to PPS and ERP systems. With the additional interfacing to the storage system and the sorting robot, the system can be used fully automated.
